On Feb. 13, Edouard Treppoz - a professor at the University of Lyon, France and Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School - delivered a Faculty Enrichment talk to members of the Boyd School of Law faculty.
Over the lunchtime talk, Professor Treppoz discussed complex issues concerning the extraterritorial application of national
laws and the sovereignty of nations that arise in connection with the
Internet and the enforcement of national laws on the Internet. In
perhaps no other legal field are these issues as visible and pressing as
they are in copyright law.
Professor Treppoz holds a Ph.D. in law from the Sorbonne and was a Fulbright scholar at Columbia in 1998.
